The EWTE team have arranged a number of conferences for the Equality and Human Rights Commission. Events With The Edge organised their first Stakeholder Conference at the QE11 Centre in London as well as a number of other EHRC events throughout the country.
We ensure that the venues meet the specialised requirements of EHRC and all needs are catered for. This includes sign language interpreters, speech to text and access requirements for delegates with disabilities.
All the conferences have had very high profile speakers including Trevor Phillips, Head of the Commission and CEO, Nicola Brewer.
Jilly also led the campaign for the European Year on Equal Opportunities for All (EYEOA), working alongside senior officials in the Equalities Office and EHRC’s communications team over the launch period of the Commission.
Colleen Harris, now Director of Dignity Management Consultancy and previously interim Group Director of Communication at EHRC, said:
Jilly was appointed to lead the communications work of the EYEOA campaign. She quickly developed good working relations with staff at all levels in the new Commission and produced a strategy to promote the EU campaign across Britain through a series of events, culminating in the final event at the House of Commons. She also produced a booklet with a series of case studies across the country illustrating best practice in equality and diversity as a legacy of the Year.
Jilly conceived and delivered a campaign to promote the EYEOA during the very difficult transition period while the Commission was being launched. She worked well with the team and delivered work to a high standard and to time.
I have no hesitation in recommending her.
Colleen Harris was formerly a senior communications officer at 10 Downing Street, Press Secretary to HRH the Prince of Wales; Communications Director at the CRE and interim Group Director of Communication, EHRC.
