Events With The Edge is the brainchild of Jilly Edge, who has 25 years’ experience in conference and events management. Jilly and her team work with a number of high profile clients across the country. They have also set up a number of successful networking events in the area.


Jilly previously worked as a government press officer running conferences; VIP visits for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and others; and organising high profile PR campaigns in the West Midlands for Government departments. Clients included the Royal Household, FCO, the BBC, UK Trade & Investment, DEFRA, DCLG, the Equality and Human Rights Commission and English Heritage.

She has ministerial experience accompanying Government ministers from the PM and Royalty to Secretaries of State and as a result of this work and her work in emergency planning exercises has high level security clearance. Jilly has a sharp eye for detail, organisational skills and effective problem solving. A good sense of humour and ability to work as part of a team, make event management an ideal career choice

Laura Iceton is an invaluable member of the team, ensuring every event is perfect for the client. Having worked in hospitality from an early age and studied an HND and degree in Hotel, Catering and Institutional Managment; Laura, is equipped with all the necessary skills to arrange outstanding events. Laura’s previous career path has meant that she has always been forward-facing with a diverse range of people and it is this experience that makes her people-management and friendly approach an ideal event manager.

During the Olympics and Paralympics 2012 Events With The Edge were engaged by CWW Consultancy as part of their crisis communications response team for the University of East London, the host for practice facilities for Team USA. This was for the duration of the two events (25 July-9 September), which included the visit by the First Lady, Michelle Obama.
